Within our purpose built facilities we are able to care for patients with Congenital Heart Disease from before birth to adulthood.
Our distinguishing features are the internationally-recognised ECMO unit, our 24/7 retrieval service, experienced Cardiac Team and our ability to see patients close to where they live through our East Midlands Outreach Service.
We are currently based at the Glenfield Hospital Leicester, close to the M1 & M69 and the National Rail Network. As of May 2021, we will be relocating our Paediatric services to the new, purpose built facilities in the Kensington Building at the Leicester Royal Infirmary.

This first phase of developments will bring several children’s services together on a new single-site Children’s Hospital.
All Adult Congenital services will remain at the Glenfield hospital.
COVID-19 PANDEMIC RESTORATION AND RECOVERY
We are working within current COVID-19 and Social Distancing Guidelines to ensure the safety of our Patients and Workforce, and both inpatient and outpatient services have now returned, and are running as normal.
In line with Government Guidance (June 2020) all visitors must wear a cloth face covering when attending our Hospitals, and observe our on-site safety guidance including hand washing and social distancing.
